A display case is a type of storage use to lock or keep an object securely while being place in plain sight. It is commonly known as a display cabinet or a showcase. They are normally used to store or hold items like jewelry, sports memorabilia, trophies, and many more. They are found almost everywhere, at home, in an exhibition, a restaurant, a museum, or at a retail store. There are various types of cases depending on the material being used and the purpose of such case. The most common types are acrylic, custom, and sports display cases.
Acrylic display cases are usually made of clear synthetic material such as plastic. It is most preferable than glass cases because of its durability, practicality, and flexibility. They are sturdier, lighther, and flexible that glass cases which would likely shatter to sharp pieces ones damaged. They can be shaped , like its round corners, providing safety to children. They can be cut also like woods for customizations, to hold items with different sizes and shapes. Acrylic cases are practical if one is used to travelling since it could be easily dismantled and reassembled again. It also provides clearer view of items being displayed because it doesn’t need support from a wooden or metallic frames.
If one is looking for a case that will make his/her collection stand out or fit in a specific place, a custom display case is the best choice. Using customizable cases, a person can have the case that he/she is looking for. Custom cases are created or manufactured based on customer’s request. The size, color, and materials are being modified according to the customer’s taste. Since, manual labor is required to achieve specific design and product, custom display cases are a lot more expensive than regular cases. But then, the warm and personalized atmosphere that a specific design give to the viewer is also worth the price.
Sports display cases, on the other hand, usually serve as storage or for display of sports equipments, souvenirs, clothing (jerseys for example), trophies, and other memorabilia. It normally contain numerous types of items like balls, shoes, gloves, bats, jersey, caps, etc. The most common type of sport case is the acrylic cube, which is being used as table tops and has pylons and rings to hold balls and bats. Another type of sports case is the wall display case which is commonly used to hold collectible items like golf clubs.
Whatever type of display case a customer would purchase, they should all serve its purpose.##
